About Second Terrarium
Second Terrarium exists because reptiles that need a new home too often end up passed around quickly online, with little thought given to whether the next home is actually right for them.
Reptiles are long-lived, specific in their needs, and easy to take on without fully realising what years of care actually involves. Circumstances change — space, time, health, moving house — and when they do, owners are often left choosing between a rushed online ad or feeling like there's no good option at all.
Second Terrarium is built to be that better option. Every animal that comes through is assessed properly: what it needs, what setup would suit it, and whether it should come to me directly or go to one of the local reptile shops I know and trust.
There's no judgement involved in why you can no longer keep an animal. The only thing that matters is getting it somewhere it'll actually thrive.
